Martina qualified from Trinity College, Dublin in 1986 with a degree in physiotherapy. She has completed a wide range of post-graduate physiotherapy courses. These include orthopedics, neck, and back, neurology, sports injuries, rehabilitation, antenatal and postnatal care, work hardening and functional capacity evaluation.
Career Experience: Martina worked in St. James’s Hospital, Mount Carmel and the National Medical Rehabilitation Centre in Dublin and DGH Hospital, Michigan, USA. Whilst working in these hospitals she gained experience in orthopedics, neck, back, neurology, sports injuries, rehabilitation, spinal injuries and ante and postnatal care. She has travelled abroad with the Irish Davis Cup Team and had been involved with the National Coaching and Training Centre in Limerick assisting in flexibility testing of elite athletes. She has been involved in occupational health and pre-employment flexibility screening. Martina is a functional capacity evaluator.
graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1979.She worked initially in the National Rehabilitation Centre and following this she moved to work as a physiotherapist to Guinness Brewery. There she worked in their out patient department and oversaw the lifting and handling safety programme. In 1985 she relocated to Vancouver, Canada and spent the next six years specializing in orthopedics and sports injuries, gaining her E2V2. Through her interest in this area Anne was involved in the setting up and running of back pain rehabilitation clinics. She returned to Ireland in 1990 and joined Southside Physiotherapy Clinic. She has continued her interest in the use of manual therapy for the treatment of the spine and muscular skeletal disorders
Graduated form University College Dublin. He completed his Masters Degree in UCD in 2003 and was awarded a first class honours. Peter has completed his Certificate in Manual Therapy from Manual Concepts (Perth, Australia). Since graduating Peter has worked in St. James Hospital and Beaumont Hospital completing rotations in Out-Patients, Orthopaedics and Neurology. Peter has worked as the Team Physiotherapist for Kilmacud Crokes Senior Football Team for the past two seasons, winning Senior Dublin and Leinster Titles. He also works with the St. Michaels JCT and SCT school teams.
Peter’s main interests are in Manual Therapy, Sports Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in football and rugby. Being a keen golfer Peter has a special interest in Golf Biomechanics. Peter currently works with top golf teaching professionals in Ireland tailoring a multi-disciplinary team approach to golf rehabilitation. Peter is the first Chartered Physiotherapist in Ireland to be awarded the Certificate in Golf Fitness by the Titleist Performance Institute (Oceanside, California). Peter is currently the treasurer of the Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine Committee in Ireland.
Graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a first class honours BSc Physiotherapy. While an undergraduate student, Nicola became a foundation scholar of Trinity. After graduating she then worked in hospital and community-based musculoskeletal and pediatric care in Limerick. Nicola returned to Trinity College to study for a master’s degree in Sports Medicine in 2006, receiving the award for best clinical examination results in the class.
A member of the Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine, Nicola has worked with the Leinster U19 rugby and the Irish Freestyle Kayaking Teams. She has clinical interests in sports rehabilitation and manual and exercise therapies for low back pain. She is a qualified Stott trained Pilates instructor, currently running classes in this clinic.
Background in Banking for 21 years and following that was a Business Manager in a car retail business. Carolyn joined Southside Physiotherapy in February 2004. Carolyn is responsible for the efficient day-to-day running of the office. Her responsibilities include general administration, accounts, liaising with patients and companies; and in general co-ordinating a top-quality professional service.
